Accessibility

How this site is built to be usable, where it still falls short, and how to reach a person if it does not work for you.

We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, use magnification, or need larger text and stronger colour contrast.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard commonly referenced for websites in the United States. We consider this site partially conformant: it passes the checks we can verify, and some checks still require testing with assistive technology that we have not completed.

What we have done

  • Every page tested against WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA, with no automated failures
  • Text and background colours checked to meet minimum contrast ratios
  • A visible focus outline on every link, button and form field for keyboard users
  • Descriptive alternative text on images
  • Form fields with real labels, and errors that are announced rather than shown only in colour
  • Headings in a logical order, and a skip link to jump straight to the main content
  • Pages that work at 375 pixels wide without sideways scrolling

Where we know we fall short

We would rather tell you than let you find out:

  • We have not yet completed testing with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver
  • The booking form shows different questions depending on the service you choose. We have not confirmed how well that change is announced to screen reader users
  • Documents published by the California Department of Justice and the FBI, which we link to, are outside our control and may not be accessible

You do not have to use this website to book

If any part of this site does not work for you, you never need to use it. Call or text 951.647.0498, or email info@stratumlivescan.com, and we will take your booking that way. It is the same service and the same price.

Tell us about a problem

If you run into something on this site you cannot use, please tell us. It helps us fix it for the next person.

It helps if you can tell us the page you were on and what happened, but do not worry if not. We aim to reply within two business days, and we will tell you what we can fix and when.
