Cards, without the ink
An FD-258 is the standard FBI fingerprint card, the familiar form with ten boxes for rolled impressions. Traditionally you would sit down with an ink pad and hope the impressions came out clean.
We do not use ink. We capture your prints digitally on a certified scanner, check the quality on screen before anything is committed, and print the finished card on FBI-certified equipment. Cleaner prints, fewer rejections, and nothing on your hands afterwards.
When you need a card instead of a Live Scan
Live Scan is a California system. It works beautifully when the agency requesting your check is in California and accepts electronic submission. When it is not, you need a physical card.
- Out-of-state professional licensing — a nursing board, bar association, or licensing agency in another state
- Federal firearms licensing (ATF) — FFL applications and responsible-person submissions
- USCIS and immigration filings that call for a card
- Any federal or out-of-state agency that does not accept California Live Scan

Our equipment
Capture runs on a certified Live Scan scanner, with software that prepares ATF-compliant files and prints to FBI-certified card stock. That combination is why our cards come back accepted rather than returned for illegible impressions, the most common reason ink cards get rejected.
Cuts, scars, or heavily worn fingerprints? Not a problem. We work with what you have and use the appropriate capture technique. If a submission is rejected for print quality and we processed the original, we re-roll at no charge.
Pricing
Many agencies ask for two or three cards. Ordering them in the same appointment is far cheaper than coming back.
You do not need to bring a card
We print them. Blank FD-258 stock is not something you have to source, buy, or carry to the appointment.
