What an Identity History Summary is
An FBI Identity History Summary, sometimes called an FBI rap sheet, is a listing of information taken from fingerprint submissions kept by the FBI and related to arrests and, in some instances, federal employment, naturalization, or military service.
Unlike a California Live Scan, it is your own record, released to you. Nobody else requests it and nobody else receives it.

That is a direct credential, not a middleman arrangement. As an FBI-approved Channeler, we submit your request directly to the FBI, which is why results usually come back the same day, often within a few hours, rather than the weeks a mail-in request to the FBI can take.

What it is generally not for
An Identity History Summary obtained through a Channeler is intended for personal review and the purposes listed above. It is typically not accepted for domestic U.S. employment screening, and it is not the document U.S. immigration filings normally require.
If a U.S. employer or agency needs a background check on you, they will issue you a Request for Live Scan Service form instead. Bring that to us and we will handle it. That is a California DOJ Live Scan.
How you get your results
Results are released only to you, the applicant, or to your authorized attorney.
We capture and submit
At your appointment we take your prints, complete the federal Departmental Order form with you, and submit directly to the FBI.
You get a secure link
An email arrives with a secure pickup link and a password, plus a verification code sent to your phone by call or text.
You download it
Usually the same day, often within hours. Want a printed copy mailed as well? Add that for $25 when you book.
We never see it
Your results go to you and only you. We do not receive them, we do not store them, and we cannot retrieve them on your behalf.
Your email address has to be exact
Results are sent to the address you give us and to no other address, and they cannot be redirected afterwards. A typo means the submission has to be redone at additional cost.
Compliance, plainly
Every Identity History Summary requires a completed federal Departmental Order (DO) form. We provide it at your appointment and retain it for three years, as the FBI requires. We handle personally identifiable information under Privacy Act and CJIS security standards.

What to bring

Without a phone that can receive the verification code, you cannot retrieve your results. There is no workaround. It is an FBI requirement.
